The thing about cancer is, it is bad at surviving. It corrupts the host. Throws things off balance. It thrives for a moment, multiplying relentlessly. And in its greed, withers away as the host body deteriorates. No longer able to derive the nutrition to sustain itself. A self-destructive bug. Lose-lose.

While filling out some government paperwork: 'Occupation' is such a dystopian concept of what I spend my time doing. Like it's primary purpose is to occupy me.

All communication is performance.

Why must gratitude be grounded in the suffering of others. Why does modern discourse around gratitude instruct us to compare ourselves to have-nots. Let us challenge ourselves to be grateful for what is, and not for what we have.
